The surprise unveiling of the Toyota Venza at the Detroit Auto show captured the attention of consumers and car enthusiasts alike.  This five-door crossover vehicle is unusual and refreshing, as it blends crossover functionality with fastback style.  It’s a basic sedan that has some sport-utility cues, similar to the old Mazda 6 fastback; to others it looks like Toyota’s Lexus RX crossover.  The Venza’s engine offerings include a 3.5-liter V-6, and a 2.7-liter four cylinder, both of which will have a six-speed automatic transmission.  Its interior is spacious and can fit five passengers, with an extra compartment for storing skis or surfboards, a bim for mp3 or CD players, and illuminated dial cupholders. There is also a 6-disc CD changer, a rear wiper, telescoping steering wheel, and keyless entry.  V-6 models will have a panoramic glass sunroof, leather and woodgrain trim for the cabin, as well as a navigation system, satellite radio, and Bluetooth.
